Borderless Lullabies is a collection of songs and spoken-word recordings, with 100% of proceeds benefiting KIND: Kids In Need of Defense (supportkind.org).

Featured on the record are original music and readings by Esperanza Spalding, Jacqueline Woodson with Chris Bruce, Maria Popova with Yo-Yo Ma, Toshi Reagon, Lizz Wright, Somi, Cellogram with Arian Saleh, Elio Villafranca, Travis Knapp, Alejandro Urias, Jamia Wilson with Travis Sullivan, Chris Connelly, Sam Phillips Haleh Liza, Will Lee, and Morley, with original cover art by Shantell Martin. Also included are recordings of previously released music by Draco Rosa, Martha Redbone, Rosanne Cash, Meryl Streep, Tendor Dorjee, Leni Stern, Karavika, and Taína Asili, generously donated to the project by the artists.

The KIND staff and their pro-bono attorney partners at law firms, corporations, and law schools nationwide represent unaccompanied immigrant and refugee children in their deportation proceedings. Together, they ensure that no child stands in court alone. The majority of the children KIND serves have fled severe violence in their home countries. Many have been threatened or attacked by gangs, abandoned, abused, exploited, or trafficked. They come seeking safety, but find new challenges in the U.S.

Borderless Lullabies is available exclusively on Bandcamp. You can download it for the at-cost minimum of $18, but we invite you to consider giving more – as much as you feel this labor of love is worth, to you and the world.

A note from Morley (www.morleymusic.org), who envisioned and produced the record:

KIND came to my attention through playwright and activist Eve Ensler, who visited the border with KIND last month. Her heartbreaking account of what she witnessed emboldened me to find a way to take action with the mightiest tools I know: music, and the power of our collective voices.

May this offering be of service and may we realize that we are each other's only home, protect the babies, respect the cultures, end race hatred and bigotry.

A very special thanks to Ken Rich and Jake Lummus of Grand Street Recording, Chris Bruce, Dave Eggar, Caitlyn Salmon, Maria Popova and all the brilliant friends who contribute - contributed to "Borderless Lullabies"

One Love,
Morley
